Most of the old GTW between Ada and Lowell is now a tree tunnel, but you can still find a few spots open enough for a photo, like this private crossing east of Ada.

#24 leads 2 hoppers for King Milling past a stack of new ties waiting to be inserted near Lowell. While this line is still in good shape and is 25-30 mph for the most part, it’s hard to imagine Grand Trunk 4-6-2’s and 4-8-4’s slamming through here at 70+ mph!

24 shoves across the Flat River into King Milling. The cars in front of the engine are loads to be delivered, the cars behind it are empties that were pushed out onto the bridge by King’s trackmobile.
